ABOUT THE ARTIST

Damian Bellotti is an American born visual artist currently living and working in Scituate, Massachusetts.

  Bellotti explores how texture and color reflects and transforms light. He uses this fluctuation as a means of developing a concept of a mystical and dream-like landscapes and beings. His paintings are a look into the subconscious mind by way of telling visual stories as if woven on a tapestry. Bellotti’s distinctive personal style emanates from creating each painting without references, but simply by beginning through automatic mark-making which allows his mind to wander an unfiltered organic environment.

Bellotti attended school at Bridgewater State University where he majored in Painting & graphic design.

-John Heller Memorial scholarship
-Robert Daniels Award for Outstanding Senior art major
-Best in show at the Bridgewater State University Art exhibition
